Powering the Next Generation of Filmmakers

Lower-cost. Lower-carbon. Future-ready energy from day one.

What is the SmartGrid?

Rather than each building having its own grid connection, SmartGrid-connected buildings are linked together through a private, intelligent power network.

  • Rooftop, carpark and ground-mounted solar can be funded, built and operated by SNRG
  • Solar from connected buildings is combined into a shared rooftop solar farm
  • A shared battery stores and releases energy when needed
  • The SmartGrid draws from the national grid only when required

This allows far more renewable energy to be used onsite, lowering both costs and carbon.

How will the SmartGrid benefit filmmakers?

  • Substantial negotiated discounts compared to average non-domestic electricity supply costs.
  • Lower-carbon power from onsite renewables
  • Future-proofing energy capacity for energy-intensive media production needs
  • Real-time energy and carbon insights via SNRG’s Energy Insights Platform

This allows far more renewable energy to be used onsite, lowering both costs and carbon.

Who is SNRG?
